Travel

By bus: Take the 1001 Company service to Campos dos Goytacazes from Rio’s central bus station, several departures a day, takes about 4 hours. Then take a taxi or the local "Conquistense" circular bus route to the São José Operário Educandário.

By car: Take the bridge towards Niteroi across Guanabara Bay north out of Rio. Follow the BR-101 to Campos. Avenida Gilberto Cardoso is a broad, 2 way street, accessible from the main Avenida (28 de Março), about 5 minutes from the town centre.

By air: Flights are available from Rio’s Santos Dumont domestic airport to Campos. Flight time around 40 minutes, although some services make a stop in Macaé. Take a taxi or bus to the Educandário.
