Sound Bed. These plants at ground level make their own sounds. Some, like the bamboos, grasses and palms, whisper in the wind. Others have pods that rattle when dry. On a still day, use your hands to stir the plants and see what noises they make (or enjoy the silence).

Bamboo Shade. Here the path passes under a shade made from bamboo pillars and wire supports on which climbing plants grow creating a cool zone. Some of the climbing plants have interesting scents and textures.
